Description
Begin your day aboard a luxury air-conditioned coach departing downtown Vancouver. Your driver-guide provides commentary on regional history, geology, and culture as you travel past coastal rainforests, mountains, and ocean views. Watch for local wildlife such as eagles, bears, and deer along the route.
Your first stop is Shannon Falls near Squamish. This 335-meter (1,099-foot) waterfall cascades down granite cliffs surrounded by lush forest. A short paved trail leads to two viewpoints where you can experience the waterfall’s spray and capture photos. This stop offers a chance to stretch and immerse in BC’s natural landscape.
Next, ride the Sea to Sky Gondola, climbing 885 meters (2,900 feet) to the summit. You’ll have about 1.5 hours to explore alpine trails, cross the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, or relax at the summit lodge while enjoying panoramic views of Howe Sound, Shannon Falls, and the Coast Mountain Range.
Continue north to Whistler Village, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Enjoy up to 3 hours of free time to dine, shop, or walk the pedestrian-only village, taking in alpine architecture and scenic mountain surroundings.
Return to Vancouver in the late afternoon or early evening by coach. Depending on the season, you may see a sunset over Howe Sound during the return trip. Travel in comfort after a day of exploration and fresh air.
