Description
Start your tour at the sandy shores of English Bay. Follow the beach path east with your bike tour guide.
Stop along False Creek seawall to view the colourful 'Giants' mural by Osgemeos.
Leave the seawall and head into the Yaletown district for a quick stop at the Roundhouse Community Centre. See the first train across Canada and hear about Vancouver's connection to the railroad.
Return to the seawall and bike through the stadium district, alongside BC Place, The Park Casino and Rogers Arena.
Skip across the city to Gastown, Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood. Hear the story of Gassy Jack, stop at the Vancouver Steamclock and gaze up at the impressive design of the Woodwards Tower.
Slide over to Chinatown for a peak inside the meditative Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Gardens. Learn about the important role the Chinese played in the development of Canada and hear the quirky story of the Chinatown otter.
Pedal through Strathcona, Vancouver's first residential neighbourhood. Pause in front of Nora Hendrix's house and hear Vancouver's connection to the legendary guitar player.
Ride through the Olympic Athlete's Village as you return west along the south side of False Creek.
Cycle onto Granville Island for a slow roll past the artisan shops and remaining factory elements. Park the bikes and putter through the over 100 stalls in the Granville Island Public Market. Return to the bikes for a quick sea jaunt across False Creek on the Aquabus ferry system.
