Tour Description
Walk the streets of Gastown, a neighbourhood rebuilt after a major fire in 1886, with a guide who knows the best kitchens that have stood the test of time. Sample dishes crafted with care, including a slow-roasted pork sandwich on ciabatta with house salsa verde—the original recipe that inspired many replicas across Canada.
Experience a dessert bar that began at the Whistler Farmers' Market and now has eight locations in British Columbia, featuring the signature Crack Bar combining shortbread, salted caramel, and dark chocolate. Try classic scotch eggs seasoned in-house in a pub operating since 1910, plus a “Secret Dish” revealed only during the tour.
Morning (10am) tours highlight fresh hand-made donuts glazed daily since 1979 and fermented veggie toast on house-baked sourdough with hummus and pickled vegetables. Afternoon (12pm and 4pm) tours add a Mexican chicken taco and artisan chocolates handcrafted on site. Selected stops also include quality drinks.
