Description

Grab your chopsticks and get ready to roll. In this hands-on four-course Japanese cooking class with Chef Sean, you’ll begin with warming miso soup made with white miso, dashi, tofu, wakame and green onion, learning how to build a balanced broth with classic Japanese ingredients.

Next, you’ll prepare a salmon and avocado roll with seasoned sushi rice, nori, Atlantic salmon, avocado and cucumber, practicing knife skills, rice preparation and sushi rolling techniques.

Then comes a bold spicy tuna hand roll featuring ahi tuna, Kewpie mayo, sriracha, green onion and nori. You’ll learn how to shape and assemble the hand roll while balancing creamy, spicy and savory flavors.

To finish, you’ll make yuzu cheesecake cups layered with cream cheese, yuzu curd, graham cracker crumble and whipped cream for a bright, citrusy dessert.

Chef Sean holds a Culinary Arts diploma and brings professional experience from high-volume kitchens, including roles as sous chef and head chef. His practical approach keeps the techniques approachable, so you can build confidence whether you’re new to sushi or ready to sharpen your skills.
